Greater Lehigh Valley Annual Awards Celebration & Annual Meeting

Severin Fayerman, holocaust survivor and author will be this year’s guest speaker.

The Red Cross Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter announces its’ annual Awards Celebration and Annual Meeting to be held on June 12, 2013 at The Fowler Blast Furnace Room at Steelstacks in Bethlehem from 5:30 to 7:15pm.

Severin Fayerman, holocaust survivor and author will be this year’s guest speaker. Fayerman, who resides in Reading, chronicled his personal history in a short memoir called, A Survivor’s Story. Born in Poland, he was held prisoner in several concentration camps during WWII, before emigrating to the United States.

Awards will be presented in the categories of: Clara Barton Honor Award for Meritorious Volunteer Leadership, Legacy Society Donor Recognition, Good Neighbor Awards, Special Citation for Exceptional Volunteer Service and Exceptional Partnership Award. In addition, a new board chairman will be announced as well as the recognition of outgoing and incoming board members.
