The American Red Cross will host two Individual Preparedness Workshops in Grand Junction during September. The workshops are being held in conjunction with National Preparedness Month and are part of the statewide Prepare Colorado movement designed to improve the overall preparedness and resilience of Colorado residents.
"Western Colorado has seen its share of disasters," said Eric Myers, CEO of the Red Cross Western Colorado Chapter. "These workshops are designed to help people develop their game plan and to be better prepared for emergencies."
The workshops are free of charge and will cover important topics related to emergency preparedness such as building a 72-hour emergency kit, developing an emergency plan and staying informed about disasters.
