The American Red Cross is diving into the 2013 summer season with the 9th annual Lifeguard Games competition on Sunday, July 14 at the Poway Community Pool.
This FREE family-friendly event is a great opportunity to cheer on the lifeguards in our community who are dedicated to making sure everyone is safe in and around the water.
At the event, certified lifeguards from over 100 swimming pools in San Diego and Imperial Counties will showcase their lifesaving and water safety skills in a series of team and individual events including submerged victim towing relay, shallow water back-boarding scenario, 50-yard breaststroke with rescue tube, 10-pound brick carry and active victim rescues.

REGISTRATION General competition participation is open to trained lifeguards and lifeguard instructors. In addition, Guard Start participation is open to current or prior junior lifeguard program participants under the age of 15.
