Youth want to make a difference in their community. That’s what film and television actor (and Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet member) Josh Duhamel believes and why he is leading his third Red Cross Youth Run on the Santa Monica Beach. His previous Red Cross runs benefiting the victims of the 2011 Japan Earthquake and 2010 Haiti earthquake, each drew an estimated 3,000 runners. This year’s run will focus on the need for L.A. area residents to get ready for a catastrophic disaster and will benefit the Red Cross L.A. Region’s PrepareSoCal campaign.
DONATIONS: Suggested donation for each runner is $10. (The run is targeted to youth, but runners of all ages are encouraged to participate.)
TIME AND PLACE: Check in at 8 a.m., run starts at 11 a.m. The run begins one mile south of the Santa Monica Pier.
