Pioneer Valley Hometown Heroes

March 28, 2013 marks the 11th Annual Hometown Heroes Breakfast, an event closely related to the Red Cross mission — providing relief to victims of disaster and helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

This annual signature event began as a way to honor the heroes of September 11, 2001 and celebrate the spirit of humanitarianism by honoring local individuals who have shown courage, kindness and unselfish character through their acts of heroism throughout the Pioneer Valley.

The breakfast is our largest event fundraiser of the year and helps to support the teaching of critical life-saving and disaster preparedness skills throughout greater Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties. Financial support at the local level is necessary for us to continue to provide our community with disaster relief services; superior preparation for disaster response; training in life saving skills; and to help support the ongoing task of serving our military families.
