By attending our Red Cross organized Preparedness On The Square you will be ready to respond and act immediately with the right disaster and emergency training, skills and tools.

Preparedness On The Square highlights are:

  • How to create a Disaster Supplies Kit and an Emergency Plan.
  • First Aid and CPR Demonstrations.
  • Information about our elderly and chronically ill services.
  • Staff presentation about assistance offered to military personnel and their families.
  • Great food from Ben & Jerry’s, Chik-Fil-A, James Coney Island, Freebird, My Fit Foods
  • Entertainment which includes: Live Music, Houston Aeros Slap Stick Game, Houston Astros Baseball Pitch, Houston Dynamo Soccer Kick Game, Houston Rockets Hoops, Houston Texans Football Pass Game
  • Appearance by Channel 11 Meteorologist David Paul
  • Other organizations offering preparedness information include the City of Houston Emergency Management, Harris County Emergency Management, Harris County Flood Control, Houston Fire Department, Houston Police Department, Weather Museum, United Way and many more.
