Senior Safety Through Emergency Preparedness
We invite you to an overview of the SSTEP program on March 28, 2013
The American Red Cross is proud to present SSTEP—Senior Safety Through Emergency Preparedness. At no cost to you, SSTEP is designed to assist your senior-living facility and community. The grant-funded program first helps you to assess your current level of preparedness. Then it provides resources to help you augment your plan, training and emergency supplies. These steps will help keep you self-sufficient and resilient after a disaster.
History has shown, and emergency management professionals in our community concur, it is highly likely entire communities will be on their own for at least 3 to 5 days following a major disaster, as EMS, government and outside agencies mobilize. Because of this, we strongly encourage your facility to have a working plan to be self-sufficient until help arrives. SSTEP will assist you with creating or enhancing your plan.
You are invited! RSVP today!
Please join us for a short, interactive meeting as we give you an overview of how easy it will be for your facility to take part in the SSTEP no-cost program. Please join us at the American Red Cross of Orange County Chapter office. Light refreshments will be served.
Participate in the first two modules of SSTEP and receive, at no cost to you, an American Red Cross Emergency Preparedness Kit and two water-purification bottles.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to working with you in the future.
