Topeka Gives

Topeka Gives event

What is Topeka Gives?

  • National movement of Community Foundations to emphasize their role as community convener
  • One-day event which provides “matching” money for contributions made to support nonprofit organizations in the community
  • Why should we participate?

Topeka Gives is a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the foundation. Participating with 75 other non-profit organizations will create a “buzz” around promoting the event, especially engagement on social media. It will help us collaborate with other agencies and be seen in the community, and of course, raise funds for the Red Cross!

    How does it work?

The Topeka Community Foundation will match a % of money raised on June 19, 2013, up to $30,000. Donors must come in person and bring check or cash to Fairlawn Plaza Mall from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Donors can specify which agency or agencies they want to support. Each agency will also have a display set up that day in Fairlawn Plaza Mall.
