Join Team Firestopper on MLK Day of Service – January 20th
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’”
Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities.
Join the American Red Cross and Team Firestopper on January 20th, 2014 to serve your community by canvassing vulnerable neighborhoods across the Central Valley and distributing fire safety information.
The Red Cross responds to home fires more than any other type of disaster, helping the victims of over 170 fires a day across the country; in the Central Valley alone, our Chapter responds to a disaster every 14 hours. Spreading the Team Firestopper message can help prevent fires and reduce this number. You are helping to keep people safe, and that's a crucial responsibility.
You can be a part of this rewarding movement by signing up for a fire safety canvassing event near you, REGISTER TODAY!
(Event information and meeting location will be provided to you prior to event date)
Did we mention volunteers will receive FREE breakfast, lunch AND a Red Cross t-shirt?
