The American Red Cross and its partners have launched an initiative that aims to reduce deaths and injuries caused by home fires by 25% in five years with the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign.
Join our lifesaving effort! The Red Cross is seeking both project leaders and team members to participate in one-day outreach campaigns occurring throughout 2015.
Teams will canvass neighborhoods to provide lifesaving safety information and check and install smoke alarms. Volunteers do not need prior Red Cross experience and will receive training on fire prevention and how to install a smoke alarm.
The campaign will initially focus on the neighborhoods with the highest risk for deaths and injuries due to fires.
This is an excellent opportunity for both groups and individuals.
