As Colorado has experienced another summer of tornadoes, flooding, drought and wildfires, the importance of being prepared ahead of disaster is again at the forefront of discussion. The Colorado Emergency Preparedness Partnership is hosting an event on August 22 at the University of Denver. Registration and refreshments beginning at 8:15 a.m.
Topics covered will include "disaster-proofing" business insurance, as well as 'Connect Colorado', which is designed to provide private sector resources to emergency managers during periods of disaster or emergencies. Also discussed will be the Red Cross' 'Ready Rating' program, which will help check your organization's current state of readiness and learn how to improve it.
