Every 8 minutes, the Red Cross responds to a disaster in the community. This September, you can help. Join your friends for Kansas Ride for the Red, benefiting the Kansas Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. Whether it’s one displaced family, thousands of disaster victims, providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran, supporting a military family, teaching a life-saving CPR class, or helping at a blood drive, our vital work is made possible through ordinary people – people just like you.
Register now, or register the morning of September 7 at Heartland Park Topeka for the ride of your life... and your neighbor's life.
You can also register to be a Winged Warrior! Winged Warriors is an opportunity for each of us to contribute even more to the mission of the American Red Cross and earn some fabulous incentives.
Simple: you'll have the ride of your life and a chance to win some incredible prizes. But most importantly, it's for a great cause.
Keep in mind, it's not every day that you get an opportunity to take your bike for a cruise around the 2.5 mile Grand Prix Road Course at Heartland Park Topeka. The course also features a stop in Harveyville where you'll hear stories from the devastating tornado that struck February 28, 2012, Lake Wabaunsee where a BBQ picnic will be provided, and in Dover, before heading back to Heartland Park where ride badges will grant entry to Heartland Park races that day.
The Kansas Ride for the Red is the only organized participant fundraising event for the Kansas Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. All money raised for the event stays in the area to help keep the Red Cross prepared for local emergencies.
You can make a difference.
