American Red Cross A Taste on the River

Southern Illinois Red Cross - Taste on the River

There are some EXCITING changes to a favorite local event! A Taste on the River combines the best of Picnic on the River with a new name and a new attitude. You can expect incredible food from the top local chefs, adult beverages, and great music—all to benefit the mission of the Red Cross.

FOOD

Taste incredible cuisine prepared by the area’s top chefs, and vote for your favorite. Former winners from Jumer's Casino and Ruthie's at Rhythm City Casino are back and competing for the title of 2018 A Taste on the River Top Chef. Who will win this year, you decide!

DRINK

Nothing goes with great food better than perfectly paired wine and beer. Join the craft beer and wine pull, where you will receive either a bottle of wine worth at least $20, or a growler ready to fill up at your local favorite craft brewery. Along with this, celebrity bartenders will be vying for tips as they offer exception service at the cash bars.

MUSIC

A Taste on the River will include a fresh new colorful look, some new fun activities and lots of socializing. With extended hours, stay later and enjoy the live music of Yoyo y Yo and the Dani Lynn Howe Band, or take a break and play in the Bags Tournament.

PURPOSE

A Taste on the River raises critical funds to help deliver the Red Cross mission in our community. The Red Cross supports disaster response, provides smoke alarm installation events, teaches health and safety training, and helps our military families before, during and after deployment.

Last year, more than 450 volunteers from the American Red Cross Serving the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois provided assistance to 313 families following a disaster, most of which were home fires; assisted 278 military families and certified more than 7,650 adults in First Aid, CPR and AED. Your attendance at A Taste on the River will help continue the work of the Red Cross mission.

Special thanks to presenting sponsor McLaughlin Motors.

A Taste on the River tickets are $50 for individuals and $500 for a reserved table of 10.
