The American Red Cross, like jazz, is an American tradition. For more than a century, our uniquely American musical heritage of jazz has reached out beyond the borders of this country to the heart and tapping feet of the rest of the world. Jazz is noted for its individual expressiveness of improvisation as well as its stirring effectiveness through the imaginative collaboration of talented musicians.
