Planning is in full swing for the 15th Annual American Red Cross of Northeast PA Golf Tournament on Monday, September 18, 2017. Tee off will be at 11:00 a.m. at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
This is the public’s rare chance to play this exclusive, private course located in Moosic. The day begins at 10:00 a.m. with registration and concludes with a cocktail hour and dinner beginning at 4:00 p.m., complete with awards, prize giveaways and a raffle.
In between will feature 18 holes of golf overlooking the beautiful mountains of Northeast PA. Even if you’re not a golfer you can still come and show your support by purchasing a ticket to the cocktail hour and dinner portion of the event.
Funds raised at the golf tournament and dinner will support the ongoing work of the American Red Cross in our area. Nearly every day the local Red Cross responds to disasters like house fires, floods, water main breaks, gas leaks or power outages that leave our friends and neighbors in need.
Each year in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties, the Red Cross responds to about 150 local disasters, providing emergency assistance to more than 600 people. While the Red Cross is always there day or night to help, they can’t do it without the public’s financial support.
The honorary chairman of this year’s golf tournament is Tom Medico of Medico Industries.
