IHL Film & Forum Series: Women War & Peace

Even in war there are limits.

Rape in war kills. It kills innocence. It defiles flesh. It humiliates. It annihilates group identity. It redraws political boundaries. It commits Genocide. While now only now being confronted legally and societally, rape as a military tactic persists, in countries riven with strife such as Sudan, the DRC and Columbia.

"I Came to Testify" confronts the issue through a dramatic montage account by 16 Bosnian survivors of Serbian rape camps, and the women's attempt to seek justice before the International Criminal Tribunal.

Kristen Williams, head of the Political Science Department at Clark University, will lead a group discussion on the topic.
