Run For The Red - 5K Race & Walk

The Run For The Red 5K Race & Walk will take place at the Millburn Free Public Library in Millburn, New Jersey. This great, fundraising event supports programs and services to help you, your family, and your neighbors prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Have fun with your family, friends or co-workers while getting fit and saving lives!

Participants will enjoy a certified course with scoring by Compuscore, a USATF-NJ Grand Prix Event for 500 points, and a scenic "out and back" course through the tree-lined streets of the South Mountain Reservation. There will be awards presented for 5K finishers by age group, fundraising awards for teams, door prizes, a DJ, great snacks and plenty of fun! Additionally, Red Cross blood donors will be provided stickers on event day to recognize them as a “Life Saver.” Special thanks to the Sneaker Factory and The Millburn Township Committee for their great partnership.

This is a rain, snow or shine event! Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and get ready to have some fun!

Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3. Register in person at "Packet Pick-Up" days December 5, 6, and 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sneaker Factory in Millburn OR register on event day beginning at 8:30 a.m.

You are the key to making this event a huge success! Individuals can walk or run and raise pledges. Businesses, organizations, and groups of friends, colleagues and neighbors can form teams of walkers and runners to show their support! Team captains receive a comprehensive kit filled with ideas on how to get the team moving. It’s easy and fun!

Event day registration will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m. on event day.

Once you register for the event, we ask to you to consider signing up to raise funds with your own team fundraising page. By signing up online, you will have access to many online fundraising tools, including a personal web page to share with friends and family online and via email. The online tools will help you raise money, recruit teammates, build morale, and update friends and family on your success.
