The Grigg-Lewis Foundation and volunteers Paul & Mercedes Catherine will be honored as Red Cross Heroes during the 23rd Annual Reverse Draw and Dinner to benefit the American Red Cross on Friday, March 28 at the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls.
The Grigg-Lewis Foundation has long made an annual gift in the thousands of dollars to support our lifesaving mission in Niagara County, and recently made an additional $6,000 donation for the purchase of a new disaster trailer, stocked with cots, blankets and other preparedness items, that is staged in Lockport. Paul & Mercedes Catherine have been volunteers with the Disaster Action Team (DAT) for over two years, responding to provide food, clothing, shelter and support to families who have lost everything in a house fire. Mr. & Mrs. Catherine assisted almost a third of all Red Cross disaster clients in Niagara County in 2013.
This signature event for the American Red Cross in Niagara County reverses the usual raffle strategy by rewarding the final ticket drawn with the grand prize of $3,000. Other prizes donated by various organizations and community members will be awarded throughout the evening. All proceeds benefit the American Red Cross, Serving Erie & Niagara Counties.
Tickets are $150 each and include hors d’oeurves, dinner for two, one complimentary cocktail per person, and one entry into the Reverse Draw contest for a chance to win up to $3,000 cash plus other great prizes. Contact Faye at (716) 878-2396 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
