Join the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education to examine the continued impact of the genocide in Darfur and atrocities in South Sudan. Unlike previous genocides, Darfur was the first of the digital age with satellite images and text messaging blowing the whistle. As with other examples of atrocity, among the horror, there was also the good. Anti-genocide youth movements used social media to demand the US government take action.

Join us to discuss how to incorporate technology and media in our discussions on contemporary genocide as well as how it can be used to engage and empower young people.
