Are you prepared for an emergency? What will you do if you have to evacuate your home during a fire or a flood? How will you communicate and reconnect with your family and friends after a disaster? The American Red Cross Prepare! initiative helps area residents learn how to get ready for unforeseen disasters.
WHAT: A free community education class, Prepare! provides information on how to prevent, prepare for, and respond to disasters by making personal disaster plans, establishing family meeting places and addressing emergency communication strategies. Participants learn how easy it is to assemble a disaster kit and have the opportunity to ask questions related to individual preparedness plans.
WHEN: 6-7 p.m., September 24
WHERE: Oregon Trail Chapter, Tillamook Room
3131 N. Vancouver Ave. (Portland)
