The Lakeside evacuee fled her home with her boyfriend and their two children, 2-year-old Jared and 7-month-old Shawntee, who was born with a nonfunctioning lung and breathes through a tube.

'We came Friday evening from Lakeside and have been here ever since then. That's okay. We try to get by. It's hard for her (Shawntee) because she has special needs. The (Red Cross) nurse is coming by everyday to check on her.'
