The 29th International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent was hosted in Geneva, Switzerland, the week of June 19, 2006. Among the subjects covered was the admission of the Magen David Adom, Israel's humanitarian organization, and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society as full, voting members of the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies.
