At an event held at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C., recently, the Department of Homeland Security announced a partnership with the American Red Cross, AARP, National Organization of Disabilities and the National Fire Protection Assocation to officially kick-off Preparedness Month and the launch of the new Ready brochures with information for senior citizens and Americans with disabilities, Sept. 6, 2006.
