ARC Starting Youth Club in SE New Mexico

Hobbs, NM - The American Red Cross in Southeastern New Mexico is seeking youth volunteers for a county-wide Red Cross Youth Club. They will host a meeting on Thursday, February 28 at 4:30 pm at the Chapter Office at 200 E. Park in Hobbs. The club is open to all youth in Lea County ages 13-21 and parents or teachers wanting to be involved.

“There are many opportunities for youth in the American Red Cross. My goal is to give the youth the tools that will prepare them for the challenges of work life through volunteer experiences”, said Debra Lyles, Community Relations Manager of the American Red Cross in Southeastern New Mexico. “By interacting with and assisting those in need, youth volunteers establish a sense of awareness and personal achievement. Volunteering in community service gives youth the opportunity to help and teach others, make new friends and learn more about themselves and their community.”
