SANTA MONICA, November 27, 2012 - Film and television actor Josh Duhamel will lead two pep rallies on Friday, November 30, to promote the 3rd Annual American Red Cross/Josh Duhamel Youth Run. This event is a two mile beach run and jog, to be held on the Santa Monica Beach on December 2.
Who: Reporters, Editors and Feature Writers
What: In January 2010 and March 2011, Duhamel led thousands of runners and raised over $200,000 for both Japanese and Haitian earthquake relief efforts. Donations collected at this year’s Youth Run will go towards the American Red Cross PrepareSoCal campaign which helps Southern Californians get ready for disasters.
When: Friday, November 30
Why: “I do the youth run because I feel that younger people may not be able to donate a lot of money but that doesn't mean that they can't contribute and make a difference. Bringing students of L.A. together for these events not only raises a lot of money, but also raises the spirits of those affected by any disaster and empowers everyone young and old,” says Josh Duhamel.
