SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (October 10, 2012) – Three local community leaders have joined the Board of Directors at the American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter. The new members are Thu-Thuy Truong, Connie Chan Wang, and Amy Hanlon-Rodemich. All members have a long history of extensive leadership in Silicon Valley and offer valuable experience and a diverse set of skills to help the American Red Cross prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies in our community.
Amy Hanlon-Rodemich is the Director of Global Talent Development Operations at VMare, Inc. She brings in over 13 years of experience in employee relations, talent acquisition and performance, program and vendor management. Formerly, she was the Peninsula Chapter Chair of Northern California Human Resources Association. Hanlon-Rodemich will be able to significantly contribute to the Red Cross thanks to her strong people and management skills.
Thu-Thuy Truong has twenty-seven years of combined engineering, sales, marketing and entrepreneurial experiences through working at IBM and founding a test equipment company, TTi, Inc. She is also the Vice Chairperson of VNHELP and the Founding Board Member of Vietnamese American Professional Women of Silicon Valley where she focuses on the professional and personal growth of Vietnamese American. Truong has strong experience in critical human needs areas from humanitarian projects and will be a great asset to the Red Cross.
Connie Chan Wang is the Social Media Marketing Manager at LinkedIn. She is focused on empowering internals stakeholder while growing and managing social communities through corporate social responsibility. She is a Steering Committee Member for the Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy Silicon Valley Chapter and is also an Advisory Board Member for Go Inspire Go. Wang’s expertise and background in social marketing strategies will be beneficial to us at the Red Cross.
