American Red Cross to Commemorate 10th Anniversary of 9/11

Never Forget: Sept. 11 – Ten Years Later

In its 100th year serving North Texas, the American Red Cross will bring together civic leaders, Dallas Fire and Police Departments, members of the military and others with personal connections to 9/11. It is a time to be together as we remember those who died, those who served, and those who carry on as we:

• Commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America

• Dedicate the Red Cross' newly renovated Disaster Command Center in memory of the victims of 9/11, and tell the previously untold story of its role as THE nationwide call center for families looking for missing loved ones after the attacks

• Recognize the role that the North Texas Red Cross and other community members played in responding to the tragic events of 9/11, as well as its ongoing services to our community during disasters such as hurricanes, fires, etc.

• Pauline Medrano, Mayor Pro Tem, City of Dallas

• Kenneth Johnson, Deputy Chief, Dallas Fire – Rescue

• Leslie Palmer, Ground Zero Firefighter, Regional Chief Executive Officer, American Red Cross-North Texas Region
