House Fire on Niles Street in Bakersfield

September 21st: The Kern Chapter volunteers were busy late last night assisting two families on the 1300 Block of Niles Street in Bakersfield who were affected by a house fire.

The two families (2 Adults and 8 Children) were assisted with food, clothing, shelter, water, comfort kits, and other necessities, as well as much needed resources and referral guidance.

This call marks the 78th family with a total of 328 individuals (197 Adults, 121 Children, and 10 infants) needing assistance because of home fires already this year.
