DALLAS, TX (March 6, 2012) — Spring in Dallas can mean two things: very beautiful weather or severe and life threatening storms. Shoppers in Dallas can prepare for both at a special Jack Rogers trunk show on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in Highland Park Village. Jack Rogers sandals, including a limited time Red Cross design, will be available for purchase with twenty percent of proceeds benefitting the American Red Cross as it prepares for storm and tornado season.
The Jack Rogers selections and other fashionable spring clothing items and accessories will be on the LuxeLiner mobile boutique, parked outside of Mi Cocina Highland Park Village. Attendees can enjoy margaritas, beer and wine available for purchase by Mi Cocina and music by guest DJ Jose G.
Event co-hostess Lori Jones and Kimberly Schlegel Whitman are members of the Red Cross Dallas Chapter Board of Directors and worked with Jack Rogers to develop the limited edition Red Cross sandal. Whitman shares how she enjoyed working with two entities with such colorful histories.
“The Jack Rogers sandal has been a staple to women of style and adventure since the 1960’s, and the American Red Cross brought women to the front lines of service before any other organization,” Whitman said. “It’s been rewarding to bring these two historic icons together for a project that will bring hope to those facing uncertainty after disaster.”
American Red Cross North Texas Regional CEO, T.D. Smyers, is personally looking forward to seeing existing and new Red Cross supporters at the event.
“There is no way that we could make our mission of providing relief to victims of disaster a possibility without the generous financial support of the community,” Smyers said, “I’m excited for this new partnership with Jack Rogers and enjoying an afternoon in Highland Park Village that I know will be just as fun for people supporting us in this special way as it will be for the Red Cross.”
While twenty percent of proceeds from all items purchased from Jack Rogers and on the LuxeLiner will benefit the Red Cross at the March 20 trunk show, the Jack Rogers for Red Cross sandal will be available at JackRogersUSA.com through June 31, 2013. Twenty percent of the $110.00 purchase price of the Jack Rogers for Red Cross sandal will be donated to the American Red Cross.
