Kern Chapter Responds to Family Fire on Lytle Ave.

September 6th - The Kern Chapter Disaster Action Team volunteers were very busy again today assisting a single family affected by a home fire. The fire started on August 28th but the family did not call for assistance till today. The family consisted of 2 adults and 1 special need child, along with 2 dogs and 12 ducks. No one was harmed by the fire but the home did have major damage.

The fire occurred on the 10000 Block of Lytle Ave in Delano.

The family was assisted with food, storage containers, teddy bears, comfort kits, and other necessities, as well as much needed resources and referral guidance.

This call marks the 72nd family with a total of 297 individuals (186 Adults, 101 Children, and 10 infants) needing assistance because of home fires already this year.
