CARMEL, CA (November 14, 2013) — Carl’s Jr. restaurants in Monterey, King City and Salinas are showing their support for Red Cross Services to the Armed Forces programs, by raising money and giving the public an opportunity to sign holiday cards as part of the Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign.
In May 2013, the local restaurants raised $7,500 for the American Red Cross Monterey Bay Area Chapter, through Carl’s Jr.’s national Stars for Heroes program, a fundraising campaign to support military veterans, families, and communities.
Carl’s Jr. will acknowledge the money raised for the Red Cross during a check presentation on Friday, November 22, in Salinas at the Northridge Mall. During the event, the public will have a chance to sign cards for service members as part of the Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign. The goal is to have more than 800 cards signed by the conclusion of the event. Participants will also receive a coupon for a free regular size drink.
This event is in coordination with Santa’s Arrival at Northridge Mall. Santa will be riding in on a Red Cross Emergency Response vehicle since his presence is urgent!
