Multiple Incident Response Over Weekend

September 24th - The Kern Chapter volunteers were busy this weekend assisting with two separate incidents in Bakersfield.

The first response occurred Saturday afternoon on the 1200 Block of McDonald Way in Bakersfield. The family of 9 (2 Adults and 7 Children) were assisted with food, shelter, water, and other necessities, as well as much needed resources and referral guidance.

The second response occurred Sunday evening on the 200 Block of Oildale Drive in Bakersfield. The family of 2 adults (along with their 6 cats) were assisted with food, shelter, comfort kits, water, and other necessities, as well as much needed resources and referral guidance.

These calls mark the 79th and 80th family with a total of 340 individuals (201 Adults, 129 Children, and 10 infants) needing assistance because of home fires already this year.
