Raise the Region 2013

Raise the Region is a 24-hour fundraising event for participating nonprofits, such as your American Red Cross. It is an initiative of the First

Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania. The aim of this initiative is to:

  • Promote the awareness and support of local nonprofits in our region
  • Launch a 24-hour giving campaign for local nonprofits
  • Increase individual funding to nonprofits through a concentrated, online, matching gift campaign
  • Meet the increasing needs of our region through a strategic and unified philanthropic effort
  • Make a donation to the American Red Cross at All day on-line giving program

    Minimum donation $25 up to $10,000

    Tickets and how to register/get more info: On March 12, 2013 donors should visit this website: and select the American Red Cross during the 24-hour window from 12:00 am through 11:59. There will be EXTRA money from prizes awarded throughout the day, as well as match of donor dollars.

    Sponsors: The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania is sponsoring Raise the Region 2013, an event to help the community support local nonprofit organizations fund raising efforts. The Foundation, in partnership with Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships is matching a portion of donations made to preregistered nonprofits. Larson Design Group is supporting the project with additional prizes to registered participants.

    What to post right after the event: THANK YOU to everyone who supported the First Community Foundation’s Raise the Region community-wide non-profits’ “funding booster” day! Through the generosity of donors, and the support of people who helped spread the word, we are anticipating a significant boost to our income stream during March - Red Cross Month - which will be used to support veterans military personnel and their families; assist victims of disaster and support our life saving blood collection program.
