JACKSON, MISS.—On Tuesday, March 26, American Red Cross representatives from across Mississippi will travel to Jackson and participate in Red Cross Day at the Capitol.
Volunteers, donors, board members and staff will meet with legislators at the State Capitol to further their understanding of the role of the Red Cross in Mississippi communities and around the country.
The Red Cross will host an event from 7:30 to 10 a.m. in the First Floor Rotunda of the State Capitol. The event will focus on education, training and recruitment of volunteers and blood donors among members of the State Legislature, their spouses and employees.
“We are pleased to be meeting with the legislators in our state’s capital and look forward to building an even stronger understanding of what the Red Cross does in Mississippi and around the nation,” said Sandra Hodge, CEO, Red Cross Mississippi Region.
