Red Cross Gives Canteen Support for Search, Recovery Responders

LEAKSVILLE, MISS., SUNDAY, JUNE 30, 2013 - Volunteers and staff from the American Red Cross South Mississippi Chapter are providing on-scene canteen support for responders involved in a search and recovery of two missing children on the Chickasawhay River in Greene County. Red Cross volunteers will remain on-scene to provide food and beverage for those involved in the recovery effort as long as services are needed. Greene County Emergency Manager Trent Robertson requested Red Cross canteen services to support the responders.

All Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people.
