Red Cross Helping after Fire at Catholic-Presbyterian Apartments

The American Red Cross Louisiana Capital Area Chapter is helping 11 residents following a fire at the Catholic-Presbyterian Apartments, 655 North St, in Baton Rouge. The small fire triggered the sprinkler system and filled several floors of the building with smoke and water on Wednesday night.

Red Cross Volunteers responded to the building and provided assistance to meet the immediate needs of 11 people who were displaced fromtheir apartments. The Red Cross provided lodging to the residents at area hotels and volunteers remain available to the families for support, counseling and referrals to other local agencies.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by donations of time and money from the American people.
