Red Cross Helps After 2 Alarm Fire on Groveland Ave

Baltimore—American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region volunteers were at the scene of a two alarm fire today on the 4600 block of Groveland Avenue in Baltimore. The Red Cross is providing the resident of the home with financial assistance to replace food, clothing and medical needs that were destroyed in the blaze. Red Cross case workers will continue to follow up until all of the resident’s immediate needs have been met.

The American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region shelters, feeds and counsels victims of disasters; provides lifesaving blood to area hospitals; teaches lifesaving skills; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its humanitarian mission.
