Red Cross Responds to Home Fire in Leon County

WACO, TX, January 23, 2013 — The American Red Cross is providing comfort, emotional support and assistance for a Concord, Texas family after a home fire last night on County Road 291. Red Cross workers remain with the family to provide support, and to meet their immediate needs after this disaster.

“The Red Cross is here to support the family during this difficult time,” said Mark Felton, American Red Cross Heart of Texas Chapter Executive Director, “and there is no more terrible a reminder of the dangerous disasters we are all at risk of each day.”

Red Cross disaster services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Across Central Texas, the Red Cross responds to disasters like house fires on average every 36 hours.
