Red Cross Welcomes Inaugural Ready 365 Corporate Partners

San Francisco, CA – The American Red Cross of the Bay Area is proud to welcome and thank AtHoc, Inc., CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, The Gymboree Corporation, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Oracle Corporation, and SurveyMonkey for stepping forward to become inaugural Ready 365 partners.

Each day, the American Red Cross helps people facing emergencies. It provides food and lodging for the family whose home was destroyed by fire. It helps communities devastated by disasters. It helps a deployed soldier get home for the birth of a child. It provides blood to the child battling cancer.

Since 1881, the Red Cross has prevented and relieved suffering one day at a time, one person at a time. Trained American Red Cross volunteers are ready 365 days a year to open shelters, serve hot meals and provide comfort to victims of disaster, the faster people and communities can begin to recover.

“None of this would be possible without the support and generosity of the supporters of the Red Cross, especially our Ready 365 partners, who value the local impact and global reach of the Red Cross,” said Mark Cloutier, Regional Chief Executive Officer, American Red Cross of the Bay Area. “Our Ready 365 partners want to make a difference, to help save lives and help people 365 days a year. Therefore, they pre-invest in our local disaster preparedness and relief services that enables us to respond immediately to the needs of individuals and families impacted by disaster anywhere in the Bay Area.”

“We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the American Red Cross as a founding member of the Ready 365 Program,” said Danielle Cagan, corporate communications and public affairs executive, CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer. “Support of this program enables the Red Cross to be there every day when our community needs them most. It is the alignment of that commitment that makes for a natural partnership between our two organizations.”

Program members help the Red Cross each day in the Bay Area respond to 475 local disasters; collect nearly 12,000 pints of blood; empower 62,000 local residents with lifesaving courses, such as First Aid/CPR, Water Safety, Babysitting and disaster preparedness training and assist 1,518 military members, their families and veterans.
