WASHINGTON, Friday, June 01, 2012 — Women leaders and philanthropists from across the nation who are part of the American Red Cross Tiffany Circle will gather in Washington, D.C. June 1–3 for an unforgettable weekend of learning, sharing and networking.

In its sixth year, the Women’s Leadership Summit will celebrate the Tiffany Circle, whose members have raised more than $40 million for the American Red Cross since 2007 and work to further advance the power of women as a force for good.

The Tiffany Circle is a society of women leaders and philanthropists from 68 regions across the country who commit a minimum of $10,000 a year in support of Red Cross work. The summit is an opportunity for members to share their best Red Cross practices, allowing others to implement these new ideas in their communities.

These women follow in the footsteps of a long line of women leaders who have helped the Red Cross serve the American public in times of war and peace with disaster assistance, blood collection, safety training and countless other community assistance services.

Highlights of the Summit include former First Lady Laura Bush and Quebec's First Lady, Michele Dionne—a Canadian Red Cross volunteer who is author of "Missions," a pictorial essay of her daily experiences with the organization. Ann Compton, White House Correspondent for ABC, will moderate a panel discussion, Laura Liswood, Secretary General of World Women Leaders will also speak to Summit attendees.

Award–Winning Country Music Star, Jo Dee Messina, will entertain. In addition, as part of the Red Cross’s salute to men and women in uniform, Former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Michael G. Mullin will attend the Chairman's Dinner, which will feature a performance by “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.
