Two families assisted Today

October 9th: The Kern Chapter volunteers were busy today assisting two families that were affected by an apartment fire on 3700 Block of Q Street in Bakersfield.

Both families (total 3 adults) were assisted with food, clothing, shoes, water, and other necessities, as well as much needed resources and 1referral guidance.

These calls mark the 84th and 85th families with a total of 360 individuals (214 Adults, 136 Children, and 10 infants) needing assistance because of home fires already this year.
