COLUMBIA, S.C., March 24, 2014 – The American Red Cross and Pizza Hut are partnering this spring to launch the 2014 Heroes Campaign benefiting disaster relief, health and safety education, Services to the Armed Forces and more.
To jump start this year’s efforts, the Pizza Hut at 2725 Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia, is asking families to stop by Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. to grab dinner and learn more about preparedness. There will be a drawing for a Red Cross door prize along with information to help families prepare for every day emergencies.
Throughout the month of April, Pizza Hut will offer customers a special meal deal celebrating the 2014 Heroes Campaign. A percentage of sales from this deal will go directly to Red Cross programs and services. If customers wish to purchase a different menu item, they will be offered the opportunity to purchase a “Heroes” point-of-sale poster for a minimum $1 donation. These posters will remain up in Pizza Hut for the month of April to commemorate the generosity of donors.
