Red Cross Opens Evacuation Center Due to Drake Power Plant Fire


COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – 1140 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2014 – The American Red Cross has opened an evacuation center on the 2nd floor at the Pikes Peak Red Cross office located at 1040 S. 8th St. in Colorado Springs.

The evacuation center has been opened to support people evacuated due to the Drake Power Plant fire. Service animals will be allowed in the Red Cross evacuation center but other pets will not be allowed inside the Red Cross facility.
