Pledge of Ongoing Support Enables Red Cross to Provide Help and Hope

San Francisco, CA [June 22, 2017] — The American Red Cross of Northern California Coastal Region is proud to welcome and thank AtHoc, Inc., Bechtel Corporation, Chevron Corporation, CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, Dignity Health, eBay, Northern California Ford Dealerships, Goodshop.com, Jackson Family Wines, Oracle Corporation, Plus 3 Foundation, Robert Half International, Safeway (Albertson’s Companies, Own Brands), State Farm, SurveyMonkey, U.S. Bank, WageWorks, Wal-Mart, and Wells Fargo Monterey for stepping forward to become 2017 Ready 365 partners.

Each day, the American Red Cross helps people facing emergencies. It provides food and lodging for the family whose home was destroyed by fire. It helps communities devastated by disasters. It helps a deployed soldier get home for the birth of a child. It provides blood to the child battling cancer.

Since 1881, the Red Cross has prevented and relieved suffering one day at a time, one person at a time. Trained American Red Cross volunteers are ready 365 days a year to open shelters, serve hot meals and provide comfort to victims of disaster, the faster people and communities can begin to recover.

Therefore, they pre-invest in our local disaster preparedness and relief services that enables us to respond immediately to the needs of individuals and families impacted by disaster anywhere in the Bay Area.”

Program members help the Red Cross each day in the Northern California Coastal Region respond to 725 local disasters; collect over 70,000 blood donations; empower 87,215 residents with lifesaving courses, such as First Aid/CPR, Water Safety, Babysitting, and disaster preparedness training and assist 6,000 military members, their families, and veterans.
