Local Red Cross to Hold 120th Annual Meeting

Local Red Cross Announces 120th Annual Meeting, 2018-19 Board of Directors

SAN DIEGO – June 21, 2018 – The American Red Cross of San Diego/Imperial Counties will hold its 120th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 27, at 3:00 p.m. at the Red Cross Regional Headquarters located at 3950 Calle Fortunada in Kearny Mesa. The annual meeting is open to the public.

During the meeting, Board Chair David Geier will highlight key Red Cross services provided in the community over the past year and elect the 2018-2019 board slate. Geier, along with Regional CEO Sean Mahoney and additional members of the board of directors, will discuss the organization’s vision, key milestones from the year, and provide updates on various initiatives to help prepare the San Diego region for emergencies and disasters.

“We are so fortunate to have such a high level of involvement from our Board of Directors. Our board members are volunteers, donors, sponsors and supporters in everything that we do,” said Mahoney. “You can find them in the community at our Sound the Alarm free smoke alarm installation events, spending time with our youth Red Cross Clubs, staffing shelters and working in the office. We are grateful for their efforts to prepare our communities for disaster and advance the Red Cross mission.”
