American Red Cross Hosting First Annual BASH Benefit Event

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Thursday, March 31, 2015 – The American Red Cross Gold Country Region is holding its first annual BASH benefit event to celebrate and honor the military and the important work of the Service to the Armed Forces programs within the region.

This affair, inspired by the MASH TV series and emceed by KFBK’s Kitty O’Neal, will be a special evening honoring three local Vietnam War veterans. The Red Cross will also present the third Spirit of Tiffany award to Sacramento River cats CEO Susan Savage in recognition of her philanthropic leadership in the community.

The BASH is, very simply, a fun, military-themed evening, that focuses on great food and great fun.  Local fan-favorite the Peter Petty Orchestra will be the night’s entertainment.  There will be some amazing items in our Auction conducted by David Sobon – including a Nanchang CJ-6 flight thrill ride, a cruise on 50-foot yacht with five-course meal and wine pairing; best of all is the chance to relax and enjoy an evening out with friends – and a chance to make new ones!
