DURHAM, Aug. 3, 2016 — Red Cross volunteers serve our neighbors in need every day. They’re on the scene of home fires. They’re assisting life-saving blood donors. They’re working with military members and veterans.

Volunteers make up 90 percent of the Red Cross workforce. These volunteers represent a variety of age groups and skill sets. The Red Cross also provides free training to its volunteers, and volunteers can set flexible schedules.
