CORNING, N.Y. (March 20, 2015) – “Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, and I'm going to be happy in it.” --- Groucho Marx
The Finger Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross invites you to be happy on Friday, April 10, when it hosts the annual Spring Seasonings event from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning.
The theme of Spring Seasonings 2015 is a “Red Tie Affair: Marx Brothers’ Style.” To celebrate the theme, guests are asked to wear a red bow tie or red hair bows and are invited to wear moustaches and other fun Marx Brothers attire.
This year’s event features party music by Mood Swing and an assortment of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Spring Seasonings guests can also capture the night’s memorable moments in a classic photo booth provided by Epic Party Booth, of Hornell. In addition, the event will include the announcement of the recipient of the 2015 Simmons-Rockwell Spirit of Humanity Award.
The Red Cross Finger Lakes Chapter includes Chemung, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates counties. Proceeds from Spring Seasonings support the Chapter’s life-changing services such as disaster response, preparedness education, and services to members of our Armed Forces.
“Spring Seasonings is a fun way for area residents to support their neighbors, friends and loved ones who may need Red Cross services,’’ said Joel Robinson, Executive Director of the Finger Lakes Chapter. “This is one of the signature events in our Chapter because of the prestigious location, the highly anticipated announcement of the Spirit of Humanity Award, and the support that the guests show for the Red Cross.”
Tickets to Spring Seasonings 2015 are $75 per person or $140 per couple, and a limited number of seats remain.
