American Red Cross Offers Pet First Aid Class Nov. 23

ENDICOTT, N.Y. (Nov. 14, 2013) — The American Red Cross of the Southern Tier will host a Pet First Aid class for cat and dog owners from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Red Cross office at 620 E. Main St., Endicott.

The Pet First Aid class will cover the following topics:

• Approaching an injured animal.

• Stopping bleeding, splinting broken bones, and treating for poison.

• Safely transporting an injured pet.

• Creating a pet first aid kit.

• How to have a healthy and happy pet.
