ITHACA, N.Y. (June 3, 2014) — As part of its month-long support of the American Red Cross, The BoatYard Grill in Ithaca is hosting a “Give Back Night” on Tuesday, June 10, when 20 percent of its sales for the night will be donated to the Red Cross of Tompkins County.
For the entire month of June, The BoatYard Grill is also donating 50 percent of its sales from its dessert of the month – strawberry shortcake – to the Red Cross.
Proceeds from The BoatYard Grill promotions will enable the Red Cross to continue to provide its services to Tompkins County residents. Those services include preparing the public for disasters, responding to disasters, offering health and safety classes, hosting blood drives, and providing emergency communications and assistance for members of the Armed Forces and their families.
“We’re grateful to The BoatYard Grill and its patrons for supporting us throughout June and especially on ‘Give Back Night’ June 10,’’ said Carlos McCluskey, Manager of the American Red Cross of Tompkins County. “We rely on the generosity of our business partners and the public to provide our disaster relief services throughout the county.”
Throughout June, The BoatYard Grill is offering a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrées. To print a free appetizer coupon, visit http://www.redcross.org/news/event/ny/ithaca/Give-Back-Night.
“We are honored to continue our support of the Red Cross with ‘Give Back Night,’ ” said Brian Jardin, manager of The Boatyard Grill. “By visiting The BoatYard Grill on June 10, our patrons can help their family members, friends and neighbors who’ll need Red Cross services when disaster strikes.”
